PrayerMONTHLY PRAYER FOCUS & MEETING

We are called to be a people of prayer. As we begin a new year and new season of our church, we want to anchor the year in prayer and supplication as a church family. Each month we will have a specific prayer focus. We ask that you take time in your individual and family prayer time to lift up these prayer concerns. Our regular monthly prayer team meeting will be the first Friday of the month at 7:00pm in the administration building. January Prayer Focus - 1. Pray for God’s guidance in all ministries to fulfill our mission of Know, Love, Serve and 2. Pray for God’s purpose, presence, and protection for our church families.

Genesis Jan 2020GENESIS BIBLE STUDY

Genesis by Chuck Missler - Sunday evenings, restarts TODAY, January 12th in the Heules’ Home - Join us as we continue the study of Genesis, after Creation. We'll meet at the Heule home on Sundays, 6pm for Pot Luck dinner or by 7pm for Genesis Study. For more info contact Dane or Mary Ann Heule (maheule@gmail.com) or Barry Penland. Please let them know you are coming so they prepare enough books. No cost.

Next Level JanuaryNEXT LEVEL - MOVING TOWARD MEMBERSHIP

If you are interested in learning more about the church and are considering getting more involved or becoming a member, please join us for Next Level, a four-week class designed to inform, encourage, and guide you on a pathway to involvement and becoming part of our church family. The next session is Sunday mornings in February at 9:30am in the education building. We will meet in the first room on the right when you enter through the front door. Childcare provided. Please RSVP to Angela if you are planning to attend or if you have questions.

The Heules are hosting a lunch and movie in their home for the Senior Adults ministry on Thursday, January 16 at 11:30am. Bring a dish to share. Please see Mary Ann Heule if you have any questions or need details. 

Greeting Card RecycleCHRISTMAS & GREETING CARD COLLECTION - ONGOING

The Women’s Ministry collects Christmas and greeting cards throughout the year to donate to the Council on Aging to use for arts and crafts. Instead of throwing away the cards you receive, drop them in the collection box by the exit doors of the sanctuary to be reused. If you have questions, please contact Joice Mills.

Women are a vital part of our church family. We offer a number of ways for women to connect, grow and serve. Check out some of the ongoing ministries, Bible studies, and special events HERE. Woven, our moms’ ministry is hosting its monthly social and Bible study fellowship time Friday, January 17th at 7:00pm in the administration building basement. Moms of all ages and stages are invited to attend. Visit Woven's webpage or see Amy Owen for more details.

mission_trip_africa-2020UPCOMING MISSION TRIP

Jeff Mobley and his daughter, Lauren, are assembling a mission trip to South Africa May 15-25, organized by the North Carolina Baptists on Mission, in partnership with Door of Hope, to assist in the construction, maintenance, evangelism, community ministry, and church planting. The primary focus will be building cottages to house six abandoned children and host parents outside of Johannesburg (no experience necessary). Steadfast Love Bible StudyNEW WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Join our winter Bible study, Steadfast Love by Lauren Chandler. In this 7-session Bible study, Psalm 107 implores us to remember God's faithfulness, even during the storms, valleys, and deserts. No matter the state of our spiritual health, we can call out to God and experience His nearness. There is no fear for the one whose soul is anchored in His steadfast love.
