2020 PROPOSED BUDGET NOW AVAILABLE
The proposed budget for 2020 is now available for your perusal. We will be voting on this budget on Sunday, December 15 at our regular quarterly conference. Please take time to look at the details of the budget. Direct any questions you have to our church treasurer, Trudi D'Ambrosio, or members of the finance committee. In light of the budget, please also consider your year-end giving and have those donations in the church office or postmarked by December 31, 2019.
DEACON FAMILY ASSIGNMENTS UPDATED
To better serve you and to give each deacon a similar number of families to serve, the deacons have redistributed the alphabetical list among themselves. Please click HERE to see who your deacon is and feel free to contact them with any needs or questions you may have.
Join us as we sing Christmas carols and spread the good news of the gospel in a neighboring community on Friday, December 20th. We will leave the Alberts' Home at 6:30pm to begin caroling. We had a fantastic response from the community last year. People came out to hear the songs and visit with us. We shared Christmas goodies and information about our church and the gospel with them. Bring the whole family! RSVP HERE so we know to expect you!
INTERACT ANGEL TREE - DUE THIS SUNDAY!
Once a year we have the opportunity to minister to those who have been thrust into horrible situations by donating gifts to InterAct. InterAct is the only facility to provide shelter and support to domestic violence and sexual assault victims in Wake County. Please select one of the 85 angels off the Interact Tree to give a gift that may be the only one that woman or child receives this Christmas season. Place UNWRAPPED gifts in the bins by the collection table at the back corner of the sanctuary by this Sunday, December 1. We will also take wrapping paper and gift bag donations. Please place any gift cards in the offering plate or deliver it to the church office in an envelope labeled "Angel Tree" instead of leaving them at the display.
STUDENT MINISTRY CHRISTMAS PARTY
On Saturday, December 14, the student ministry will have its annual Christmas party on the third floor of the church building at 6:00pm. Please bring a wrapped gift worth $10 or less and your favorite Christmas goody to share.
NIGHT OF WORSHIP - CHILDREN'S MUSIC PRACTICE
On Sunday, December 15th, we will celebrate Christmas with a Night of Worship using music and scripture to tell the story of the birth of Jesus. This will be a multi-generational production including children ages 3 and up, students and adults. The next practice will be this Sunday, December 1 at 4:00pm in the sanctuary. If your child is interested in participating, see Shelley for full practice schedules and details.
MEET & EAT
Our Meet & Eat events are designed to get our church family together outside of Sunday morning and to foster community by meeting in each others' homes and sharing a meal. The next weekend event is Friday, Saturday or Sunday, January 10th, 11th, or 12th. You choose the day and mealtime that works best for you. We collect a little information about you and your preferences. Then, we pair you with another person or family. We send each of you the details and you finalize specific times and meal details together. For all of the details and to fill out the participation form, click HERE.
CHRISTMAS AT CAMP
Our annual trip to celebrate Christmas with Camp Duncan for Girls and Cameron Boys Camp is Friday, December 13th. We will leave church at 4:30pm. We will stop to eat dinner and then continue on to camp. We will return to the church around 8:30-9:00pm. Please bring all gift donations no later than noon on Thursday, December 12 to pack the gift bags. People can bring the items to the sanctuary vestibule to drop off. Click HERE for the wish lists. Everyone is welcome to join us!
CHRISTMAS CARD EXCHANGE
Each year, we try to make exchanging Christmas cards with our church family easy and to raise funds for our Lottie Moon Christmas offering at the same time. Alphabetical mailboxes will be set up in the vestibule beginning after Thanksgiving. Place any Christmas cards for people at church in those boxes and remember to check for cards for you and your family in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Consider contributing any postage you save from not mailing the cards to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering supporting almost 3,700 international missionaries living and working among over 4 billion unreached people around the world. 100% of your donation goes to get them the services and support they need to carry the gospel around the globe.
