SPECIAL CALLED CONFERENCE
On Sunday, August 18, we will hold a special conference called by the chairman of the deacons to take up the nominating committee’s proposed committee assignments for 2019-2020, to present the slate of eligible deacon candidates for the upcoming term and to vote on a building usage agreement. All of the relevant documents are available on the Member Resources section of the website. A quorum of church members is required to do church business. Please make plans to stay after service that Sunday.
MEET & EAT
Following the example in Acts 2:46-47, we are organizing the second Green Level Meet & Eat event, which is designed to get our church family together in one another's homes to share a meal. It's meant to be fellowship at its simplest! The event will occur over the weekend of August 9-11 at homes across the triangle. Sign up HERE to be a host or guest, and we will pair families to participate in an in-home fellowship meal. Once paired, hosts will be responsible for coordinating with their guests to finalize details. Questions can be directed to Chris Owen (firstname.lastname@example.org). Sign up by Sunday, August 4th to participate.

GREEN LEVEL HIGH SCHOOL - COMING SOON!
Green Level High School is set to open this fall welcoming freshmen and sophomores to their campus in August. We are excited to welcome them and hope to be good neighbors to the teachers, faculty, staff, students and their families, just as we have for Apex High School for the past two years. The first opportunity we have to show our support and care for the school is by providing meals and devotional time for the Junior Varsity football team prior to their games on Thursday afternoons. See the calendar above. If you are interested in helping support the coaches and team in any way, please click HERE to sign up. More details to come as we get closer to football season.
KIDS MINISTRY SUMMER EVENTS
Pastor Marshall has planned events throughout the summer for our Kids Ministry. Check out the calendar HERE.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD COLLECTION BEGINS
Each month from March through November, we begin collecting items to pack in shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child to be mailed during the Christmas holidays. Shoeboxes are sent all over the globe as a way to share the gospel with children and their families. Collection bins are located in the back of the sanctuary. There are also jars available for you to take home to collect spare change to offset the $7 shipping costs of each box. August collection items are back to school items - pencils, crayons, sharpeners, calculators, kid scissors, coloring books, etc.
