Small Group Virutal Meet Ups

In the coming weeks, ministry groups and small group leaders will be scheduling time thoughout the week to check-in and check-up on their minstry teams and our congregation. We will send out meeting times and information on how to connect with these groups via email. Stay tuned for sign up information to join the meetup that best fits your schedule. Let's stay connected by virutally meeting face-to-face until we can meet in person!

The Daily 3

This week we launched The Daily 3 - a three minute(ish) video, highlighting 3 things going on within our church or community, streaming at 3:00pm on Facebook. Tune in weekdays, Monday through Friday, for a quick update and Green Level daily news.

Women's Ministry Virutal Meeting

This Tuesday, April 7, the women's ministry will be hosting a Ladies Night Out online at 7:00pm. We will gather together virtually for music and a much needed message from Max Lucado that will speak to us during this time of stay-at-home orders and pandemic. Specific instructions wbout how to join the meeting will be sent via e-mail. Contact Pat Staley, Women's Ministry Coordinator, with any questions.

Worship Service Livestream

Until we are able to gather again on Sunday morning, we will be live streaming our service through our website and Facebook. Each week you will be able to find us by clicking HERE. We will begin at our usual time of 10:30am with music followed by a sermon from Pastor David. We will send an email and a text message with the link on Sunday morning prior to the service. You can use the link or visit the website homepage to join us. Please make sure to like our Facebook page to get updates there.

We Are Here to Help

Several members have volunteered to run errands for anyone who is in a high risk group susecptible to COVID-19 or who does not feel comfortable going out. If you would like help running errands and getting groceries or supplies, please let us know. We can put you in touch with someone who can help. 

Scholarship 2020

Scholarship Applications Available - DUE DATE EXTENDED

The Green Level Scholarship application is now available in the Member's section of the website. The scholarship is available to church members. Please have the applications turned in by Sunday, May 31. Click HERE to download the application. NOTE: Teacher recommendations are no requried this year. You may mail your application or scan it and email it to Angela.

Africa Missions Trip Update

UPDATE: The mission team is on hold at this time until furhter information is available. We will keep you posted. Jeff Mobley and his daughter, Lauren, are assembling a mission trip to South Africa May 15-25, organized by the North Carolina Baptists on Mission, in partnership with Door of Hope, to assist in the construction, maintenance, evangelism, community ministry, and church planting. The primary focus will be building cottages to house six abandoned children and host parents outside of Johannesburg (no experience necessary). For more information or to join the team see the informational sheet and/or contact Jeff. If you would like to contribute to the team's construction costs, you can click HERE to donate. Donations through GLBC will go to the overall mission expenses, not toward individual team member expenses. To see trip details, click HERE.

OCC 2020

Operation Christmas Child Collection (Postponed)

Update: We are postponing further collections until we are able to meet again. From March until October, we collect items to pack into shoeboxes in November for Operation Christmas Child. Shoeboxes are sent all over the world sharing the gospel with children and their families. For more information about Operation Christmas Child, visit the Samaritan's Purse website. Please place your donations in the collection bins in the sanctuary by the exit doors. Additionally, we have coin collection jars you can take to collect your change throughout the year to help with the cost to ship the boxes in November. Jars are located o the tables by the exit doors. March Collections Items: toboggans, gloves, hats, scarves, cold weather accessories.
