Kids Ministry Fall Launch - Next Sunday!
We are excited to launch our children's fall programs next Sunday, October 4th. Our kids are a vital part of our church community and bringing them back onto our church campus for in person Sunday School and Awana is one of the next steps we can take together after much of what we did was suspended or paused during the pandemic. We realize not everyone is ready to come back yet. But, rest assured that when you are ready we will be here to welcome you. Children from birth through 5th grade are invited to join us for Sunday School next Sunday, October 4th at 10:30am during the in person worship service. We hope providing this time of learning and fellowship for your younger children allows some of you who have been unable to return up to this point to come back. If you are part of our Awana program, we will be sending details about the first night of that soon. If you need additional details or have questions, please reach out to members of our children's ministry team.
North Carolina State Missions Offering
During the month of September, the North Carolina Baptists collect a special offering to support our state's mission efforts. Donations go to help missionaries, mission projects, camps, and church plants. Please join us by investing in the spread of the gospel throughout our state. Contributions can be made in person on Sunday mornings utilizing the special offering envelopes, online HERE or by mail. For more information about the offering, visit the NC Baptist Mission Offering website.
North Carolina Baptist Children's Homes Food Round Up - COLLECTION EXTENDED
The Baptist Children's Homes (BCH) annual food round up that normally occurs in April was postoned due to the pandemic and their supplies are running low. The food roundup provides months of supplies and food for the hundreds of children in their care. This year has been especially challenging because of the delay in receiving the much needed supplies from their supporters. BCH is one of our missions partners and they need our help now more than ever. You can find the list of the most needed items HERE. Please pick up a few items for them next time you are at the store or place an online order. A collection bin is located at the back door of the administration building. You may drop off food or supplies there anytime between now and Wednesday, September 30. If you are unable to drop items off, please let Angela know and she can arrange for pick up. You can also bring your donations to the Welcome Center before the in-person worship service on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.
Thursday Night Prayer Meeting - October 8
As we face the continued effects of a pandemic, civil unrest, a struggling economy and more months of uncertainty, we continue to place our trust in the Lord. Pastor David has reminded us on Sunday mornings to not be anxious, but to make our requests known to the Lord through prayer and supplication. To that end, the prayer team invites you to join them via Zoom for an hour of prayer at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 8th. The meeting agenda and login details will be sent the week of the meeting.
Livestream Continues
We will continue to offer our livestream service at 10:30am and welcome our church family into the building. We know there are all kinds of reasons you need or choose not to come to an in-person service. We remain committed to serving all of you and providing a worship service that meets you where you are. If you will remain worshiping with us from home, click HERE to access the livestream.
In-Person Indoor Worship Service
We invite you to join us at 10:30am Sunday mornings! We ask that you arrive no more than 15-minutes prior to the service, enter through our new welcome center and wait to be seated. Our greeting team is ready to welcome you! We also ask that everyone wear a mask per the latest government recommendations. We are spacing families out throughout the sanctuary to maintain a minimum of 6 feet of physical distance. In the event we fill up the sanctuary, we have an overflow room available where you can watch the live service. While it may look and feel a bit different, it is good to be in the House of the Lord with our church family!
Sunday School on Campus
Some of our Sunday School classes are meeting on campus inside and outdoors. Other classes meet virtually. A few classes have taken a hybrid approach offering both. If you are interested in joining one of our Sunday School classes, please reach out to Kenneth Ragland, our Sunday School director for more information.
Outdoor Service Continues
Our Sunday morning outdoor service will continue to meet this week at 9:00am on the field or in the parking lot between the administration building and the church depending on how wet the field is that morning. Please park in the parking lot between the church and the lodge and walk behind the church building to the field. We will have a couple of tents set up for shade. You are welcome to bring your own tents as well and store them in the administration building basement as long as we continue to meet outdoors. Please continue to bring your own seating and any additional sunshade - hats, umbrellas, etc. Music lyrics for this week's service can be found HERE.
Family Resources for Worship
Each week resources will be posted to help you teach and worship with your child(ren) at home. Make sure you check these out each Sunday and reach out to Pastor Marshall for extra guidance or if you need additional resources while we are worshipping at home. Click HERE to access the resources.
