What is Level UP?
Level UP is a multigenerational approach to Wednesday nights at church centered around Biblical stories and verses that teach the truth about who God is, who we are in relation to Him, and what it means to be a follower of Christ.
Each Wednesday, kids will learn a Bible story, a central verse, and core truths for that week to be reinforced through every aspect of the program. Whether it be through recreation, singing, crafts, or small groups, each component of Level Up will be focused on helping children see the truth in the Bible and hiding it in their hearts.
We will build on these foundations as children get older and in our student and adult programs. There will be teaching and training times for every age centered around scripture and Bible stories.
Wednesdays, September 7th thru May 24
5:30pm - 7:45pm
*Dinner is served from 5:30-6:00pm - program begins at 6pm
What does a Wednesday evening schedule look like?
Supper & Sign In - We offer pre-ordered dinner each week to help make it easier on families rushing from work or school activities. We will send out a link each week to RSVP and donate toward the cost of the meals. To pre-pay for the meals, you can fill out the Level Up Meal Plan form to donate for the fall semester at one time.
Parents must sign their children in and out each week beginning at 5:50pm in the Pre-K child check-in area on the bottom floor.
Bibles are required. If your child does not have a Bible, we would be honored to give them one.
Print the schedule HERE.
Games & Rec - This is a time for kids to burn off extra energy and connect to each other through sports, games, and activities designed around our weekly Bible story and/or scripture.
Welcome & Singing - Kids will gather in the sanctuary to sing and celebrate. They will again hear the week's Bible verse and sing songs related to the Bible story and core truths. Special recognitions will be awarded during this time. Kids can earn awards too - like learning the books of the Bible. See the award list HERE.
Hear the Word - This is a teaching time where kids will hear the Bible story and our leaders will help them understand what the story says about God and how we should respond to that knowledge.
Hide the Word - This is a fun and engaging time of moving, singing, and acting out the Bible verse for the week to help kids remember God's Word.
Apply the Word - Kids will break out into groups of 3 with an adult mentor to guide them through a deeper understanding of the Bible verse, reinforcing the memorization of the scripture, and leading them through a time of prayer. We will also encourage them to help and support one another as they practice learning the verse and work to understand its meaning.
Pray the Word - We will close out the small group time with prayer using the elements of adoration, contrition, thankfulness, and supplication as our guide.
Working from Philippians 3:12b, 14, the focus of Level Up! is:
For each child to hear about Christ.
For each child to respond to Christ.
For each child to begin the life-long journey of growing in Him.
Level UP! Includes purposeful programming to engage parents, encourage multi-generational participation, and equip/empower
those serving our kids weekly.
Who can participate?
Kids from 3 years through 5th grade. Students join the student ministry Wednesday evening events centered on the same lessons but are tailored to middle and high schoolers. Parents and adults join the Bible study and training times. Childcare is provided for children 2 and under if parents are volunteering or serving in one of our other ministries.
What does it cost?
$20 per child per year.
How do I register my kids?
Fill out the Level Up Registration Form. There is a place to submit payment at the bottom of the form. If you prefer to pay by cash or check, simply choose that option from the drop-down menu.
How do I sign up to volunteer or serve?
Fill out the Mentor Registration Form. If you are new to serving you will need a background check to serve in our kids or youth program. Once we receive your registration form, you will receive a link to complete the background check process.
What do students (grades 6-12) do during Level Up?
The Student Ministry will join us for dinner and have their own recreation time. During their lesson and study time, the student curriculum will mirror the Level Up curriculum, take it deeper, and further build on the core Bible story, verse, and core truths for the week.
What can parents participate in during Level Up?
We strongly encourage parents to serve in our Level Up program as mentors - small group leaders for our kids. There is a Bible study time for our parent mentors followed by a training and prayer time before mentors join the kids in small groups. If you are unable to stay or have other commitments, there is a Parent Bible study from 6-6:20pm. We would love to see you there!
How do I reserve a meal for myself and/or my family?
Make sure to include your cell phone number on your registration form for the weekly text to order dinner. We will send a text message on Sunday for you to order and pay for dinner for the upcoming Wednesday. All orders need to be placed by Monday evening. Dinner donations are $5/person each week. We will offer food from local area restaurants along with salad, chips, fruit, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
If you would like to donate in advance for meals for the fall full semester, you can do so by filling out the Level Up Meal Plan Form.
What days does Level Up meet? Does it follow the school calendar?
We loosely follow the traditional school calendar. Click HERE to see the full calendar including holidays, family fun nights, and award days.
