New Sunday Morning Class at 9am

Destination small group

Destination small group

Are you interested in having more personal fellowship with fellow Christians? Join us for the Destination Small Groups (DSG) fellowship class Sunday mornings at 9 am. The class will start with an 8-week series focused on being connected with fellow Christians through Christ to form a stronger Church. The Small Groups program is inspired by the description of the early church given in Acts 2:42-47 and seeks to help form the types of relationships reflected in 1 Thessalonians 5:14.

Destination Small Groups: Series 1 - Connected; Series 2 - Devotion; Series 3 - Discipleship; Series 4 - Church Essentials

What? DSG is a recurring fellowship and bible study group. Meetings are on Sunday mornings from 9-10:15 am in the education building. The Bible studies will be topical, with each series covering an 8-10 week period.

Where? Fellowship Hall Overflow Room (Bottom Floor Room 008)

Why? DSG is designed to provide opportunities to build Christ centered relationships with each other and grow spirituality through participant led study and fellowship in small groups. DSG is also intended to foster the development of Small Group Bible study fellowships. At the end of each DSG session, participants can decide if they would like to form an independent small group that would then continue to meet with support from the GLBC SG ministry.

How? The Connected Series will be an 8 week study focused on Christian fellowship. Each Sunday will be a mix of food, fellowship, bible study, and prayer (MF), all components of what the future small group will look like. All four of these activities are meant to be group driven, to facilitate conversation, personal connections, and to be responsive to the needs of the group, rather than a traditional lecture-style classroom series.

Childcare will be available for birth through 3rd grade at the KidLevel program that occurs at 9am. Older children are welcome to join the group. If you have specific childcare needs, please reach out to Chris Owen

Acts 2

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe[d] came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

1 Thessalonians 5
14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.
