Membership
A person shall be considered a member of the Church upon approval by the Church. A person may be received for membership by any of the following ways:
- By Profession of Faith: A person, who accepts Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, gives testimony to that conversion experience, is subsequently baptized by immersion, and affirms the purpose statement and covenant of this Church shall be considered a member of this Church.
- By Statement: A person who has been scripturally baptized (immersion) in a New Testament Church but who has no transferrable church membership may become a member of this Church will full rights upon satisfactory evidence of a personal Christian faith and upon affirming the purpose statement and the covenant.
- By Letter: Any person from another Southern Baptist Church may be received as a member upon receipt of letter of good standing and transfer of his or her membership from that church and upon affirmation of the purpose statement and the covenant of this Church. Upon presenting himself or herself for membership and after a vote of acceptance by this Church, this person shall be given the hand of fellowship and will be under the watch-care of the Church until his/her letter is received from the other church. When the letter is received, membership will be granted.
Any person wishing to join this fellowship coming from another faith or denomination shall come under the watch-care of the Church until such time as the person has:
- Agreed to the doctrinal statement in the Baptist Faith and Message.
- Given affirmation to the Baptist faith.
- Been baptized by immersion.
- Affirmed purpose statement.
- Affirmed covenant.
